Customers Frequently Asked Questions
How does my RV tank work?
An RV tank works by breaking down solids and mixing them with flush water, turning everything into a liquid. This liquid can then flow out of the discharge valve(s) when the RV is in motion. The tank is vented to prevent implosions when connected to a vacuum source.
What happens during an RV pump out?
During an RV pump out, our team attaches a hose to the discharge valve(s) and vacuums out all of the waste that has turned into liquid, allowing it to flow out of the valve(s). The duration of the process depends on the number and size of tanks in the RV.
I had my tank pumped but the gauge still says my tank is full. What’s going on?
There could be several reasons why the gauge still indicates a full tank even after a pump out. If the RV has been heavily used and has been stationary for a while, solids may have accumulated, particularly under the toilet. These solids will not flow out of the discharge valve and may give the impression that the tank has not been pumped. Additionally, if the tank is full, the sensors on the gauge may be covered by solids, resulting in a false reading.
How long does the process take?
The time it takes to pump out an RV tank can vary depending on the size of the tank(s) and the number of tanks. However, on average, the process can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes.
What do I need to do to prepare for a pump out?
Before we come to pump out your RV, make sure it’s easy to get to and that at least 2/3 of the tanks are full. You might also want to turn off the water pump and close the toilet seat to keep mistakes from happening.
Does the service provider need access to my RV’s electrical or water systems?
No, we do not require access to your RV’s electrical or water systems for a pump out.
Do I need to be present during the pump out?
No, you do not need to be present during the pump out. However, we do recommend that someone be available to let us know where the RV is located and to answer any questions we may have.
What should I do if my RV tank is already full and I can’t get to a pump out station?
If your RV tank is already full and you can’t get to a pump out station, please contact us immediately. We offer emergency pump out services and can come to you.
Is it safe to pump out an RV tank on my own?
Pumping out an RV tank can be dangerous if not done properly. We highly recommend that you leave it to the professionals.

Can the service provider pump out my RV tank if I am parked in a residential area?
