What Does OSHA Require for Your Construction Site?

The government organization known as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) is in charge of establishing and enforcing workplace safety and health standards.

In order to guarantee that workers have access to hygienic and sanitary facilities while on the job site, OSHA has developed particular requirements for portable toilets.

Employers must have these policies in place before installing any units, since they are strictly enforced. According to the number of workers on the job site, there must be an appropriate number of toilets available. Other requirements include maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, providing water and soap for handwashing, ensuring proper ventilation, and providing privacy with doors that close and are high enough.

If you have any questions regarding what OSHA requires, please get in touch with our team at 206-397-0336 and we’ll assist you.

Servicing Portable Restrooms on Construction Sites

For your construction site’s portable toilet needs, we provide a weekly cleaning service that should suffice in most cases. One toilet with weekly service is generally enough for up to seven workers on a residential construction site working 40 hours per week. However, larger sites or those operating seven days a week may require more frequent servicing. To ensure appropriate servicing frequency, please contact our expert Green Latrine team with the number of workers, days, and hours of operation.

Be sure you know who you are renting your toilet from.
