We Care

We at Green Latrine Portable Toilets always say that being a local business allows us to deliver you the best Porta-potty service in the Seattle-area. Check our blog at www.gogreenlatrine.com for all the practical (fiscal, environmental, employee greatness) reasons why. In this next series, we’ll go into the various ways we give back to the community that gives so much to us (as well as the extra surprising way it benefits you!)

Will Niccolls, A Savior in Seattle.

Our owner, Will Niccolls has always been passionate about charitable

work. Prior to starting Green Latrine, he was Development Director at Outdoors For All, a local charity founded in 1979 whose mission is to enrich the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities, through outdoor recreation. In this position, Will gained experience in planning large-scale events, which gave him firsthand knowledge about how porta-toilets fit into the big picture from the client’s perspective. Will’s insight from an event planner’s point of view gives Green Latrine a special superpower in the world of portable potties. We can anticipate the needs of a job, sometimes even before the client can, to provide seamless service.

On November 14th, Will donned a pair of red and black checkered flannel pajamas (didn’t see that coming, did you?) to emcee the annual “Pajama Ball” Auction, brought to the world this year over Zoom, and co-hosted by professional auctioneer, Jeff Randall. In front of a green screen, with viewers nestled in their homes, Will and Jeff raised over $200,000 for Outdoor For All.

Particularly satisfying for Will was that his involvement with Outdoor For All has come full circle. Green Latrine now supplies all of the portable toilets at The Summit at Snoqualmie during Outdoor For All’s winter events. Individuals with disabilities get to enjoy Alpine (downhill) and Nordic (cross-country) skiing on the beautiful Summit, and Green Latrine’s signature green portable potties get to show their colors among the beautiful trees, while respecting the environment in which they grow. Green Latrine couldn’t be more grateful to The Summit at Snoqualmie, “Seattle’s Home Mountain”, for being so gracious and wonderful to work with. Green Latrine hopes to continue to serve our community as their “Home Porta-Toilets.”

Check out Outdoors for All’s programs all year-round (www.outdoorsforall.org), which include cycling, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, youth and adult day camps, yoga, military programs, weekend excursions and custom events, in addition to their winter offerings.

And, for your next event, Washington, root for the home team by visiting www.gogreenlatrine.com or give us a call at 206-397-0336. We look forward to giving back to you, residents of Washington State, one portable toilet (or 100…) at a time.
